I was very fortunate to have met and known Rose Gutierrez when she first started working for the Oakland Postal Service.In fact I had orientation and swearing in of the Federal oath on the same day and same time as she did and that is how I first got to know her.We became friends and celebrated at many parties and gatherings throughout the years including Paul Manzo’s Halloween Party in Vallejo and several Extravagant Christmas parties with Carole Thomas. She even had very memorable Christmas parties at her residence on San Joaquin in Richmond and she decorated her house so perfectly for the holidays.She always had love and mentioned the same for her “ two little monkeys”.I have been lucky in my life to have worked partied danced and enjoyed being a part of her life and will always remember her driving her “sports car” Taurus and as being the shy quiet lovely lady who I met in April of 1986.Rose-you will always be missed and have a special place in our hearts.Until we meet again -thanks for always being a friend when one was always needed.Rest in peace.
