I was shocked and sorry to hear of Dick’s passing this weekend. New him through the soccer world and appreciated his kindness and positive attitude.
Back when my kid was only 8 and we took things way too seriously, Dick stepped in to referee the final of the jamboree between us ABSC and Mersey, there was a lot of tension and a steep rivalry among the families. Dick was cool and diplomatic and the he ended the game with a well deserved tie for both teams. Two winners! The way it should always be, thanks for that!
