Rhonda Kay Hopkins, 64, a longtime resident of El Sobrante and San Pablo, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015. Rhonda was born on March 2, 1951 in Richmond, CA. She lived in Contra Costa County most of her life before moving to Vallejo, CA in 2009. Rhonda served for many years as a caregiver to her sister Darlene Maddox. She enjoyed walking, attending church and playing with her beloved Chihuahua “Spike”.
Rhonda is survived by aunt, Moyna Mae Eldred of Mariposa, CA; niece, Rachel McArthur of Toluca Lake, CA; nephew, Jason (Alisha) McArthur of Franklin, TN; great-niece, Lyla; great-nephew, Maddox; and her loving companion “Spike”. At the request of the family services will be private.
