PEDRO JUAN LOPEZ
October 9, 1932 – April 25, 2016
Pedro Juan Lopez died April 25, 2016 in Alameda. He as 83. Mr. Lopez was born in St. Isabel, Puerto Rico and lived in New York during his early childhood. His family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and for the last 3 years he and his wife lived in El Cerrito. He served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Lopez was a machine operator at a printing company for 40 years before retiring. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved fishing and salsa dancing.
Survived by his loving wife, Margarita Lopez; children, Nidia Lopez, Alex (Rebecca) Merino and Margarita Merino; sister, Alina Torres; and grandchildren, Alyssa Hampton Merino, Joseph Contreras, Zahilis Padilla, Nachali Lopez, Daniel Lopez and Yarianis Correa. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Lopez.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a memorial service on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. at Sunset View Mortuary, top of Fairmount Avenue, El Cerrito.
Private interment at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA.
