Patricia McLaughlin of Kensington, Ca. passed away peacefully on June 19, 2017 at Kaiser Hospital in Oakland. She was 89 years old. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years Ralph and her daughter Kathy. She leaves behind two devoted sons, Patrick McLaughlin of Laguna Hills, Ca. and Andrew McLaughlin of El Cerrito, along with their families, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She graduated University of California Berkeley with a degree in physics. She had a long career as director of computer operations for Pillsbury, Madison and Sutro where she was known to perform magic with computers. She loved bridge, going on cruises and quilting.

She was a very active member of the community. She was an elected officer of the Kensington Community Services District acting as President for one term and also as Director of Police services. She was active with the League of Women Voters, serving as treasurer there. She was also a long term and devoted member of Arlington Community Church.

Memorial services will be held on July 15, 5:00 pm at Arlington Community Church, 52 Arlington Ave. Kensington, Ca. Donations may be made in her name to the Special Olympics, American Cancer Society and Lung Association.
