Millie Aguilar Engalla, age 96, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at her home in Newark, California. Millie was born June 30, 1919, in Manila, Philippines. She was married to Alfonso L. Engalla who pre-deceased her in 1988 after 39 years of marriage.

Millie is survived by her 4 children: Eldest son Sam, wife Mer, and their two daughters, Myra and Mia; daughter Ginny, husband John and their 4 children, Michael, Bryan, Brandon and Rachel; daughter Emlyn, husband Jerome, and their 3 children, Mikaela, Alana and Tomas; and youngest son, Dennis. Great grandchildren Alfonso and Emilliana are Mikaela’s children.

In addition, Millie is survived by two younger brothers and their families; Angel Aguilar of Alabang Muntinlupa City, Philippines and Virgilio Aguilar who resides in Richmond California.; and many nieces and nephews in the US, Canada and the Philippines. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her and for the love and support of relatives and friends during this time of loss.
