Kirk Baughman
Resident of El Cerrito

Passed away August 26, 2025 in El Cerrito, at 89 years of age. A native of Sacramento,
and 44 year resident of El Cerrito. Survived by his son, Michael Baughman and his wife,
Michelle of Lockeford; lady friend, Janet Dahlsten of Berkeley; granddaughter Kirsten Reed
and her husband, Joe of Antioch; grandson, Eric Baughman of Antioch; great-grandchildren
Ray, Henry, George and Lucy; nieces Donna Pearson, and Mona Mitchell and her
husband Rick and their children RJ and Emma.

Kirk attended Antioch High School, graduating in 1953; he played varsity football and
was named “MVP” in his senior year. He was a Boy Scout, becoming an Eagle Scout in
1952. Kirk later attended W.C.C. and Solano Junior Colleges. He served in the U.S.
Army from 1957 to 1959, and was stationed in Germany. Kirk worked as a bartender at
Tommy’s in Pinole for 17 years; retired in 1998. Previously, he worked at Kirby’s in El
Cerrito for 22 years. He was the Apartment Manager of Casa Nido Apartments for 30
years. Member, Pinole Men’s Golf Association, and Bartenders Union, Oakland.

Private services will be held.

I lived at the same building in El Cerrito as Kirk, I remember him well. I am saddened to hear of his passing. I never knew he was a bartender at Tommy's in Pinole. I grew up in Pinole during the 1960s. It is very probable that Kirk served my Dad a beer one day after working at Hercules, he was there over 30 years. Rest in Peace, Sir.

I remember I first met you 1973 when I went to work at Kirbys. We worked together for many years. Later in life we enjoyed our many get-togethers at lunch with some employees it was always fun. It was later in life we became good friends talking on the phone and seeing each other. I want to thank you Kirk for your friendship and the good memories. May you rest in peace. Your friend David.
