It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Burke on
December 30, 2024. Born and raised in Orinda, Kevin was a proud graduate of
Miramonte High School and a cherished member of his community before making
his home in Sacramento.

Kevin was well-known and respected as the dedicated owner of a plumbing
business, where he took pride in his work and built lasting relationships with his
clients. His career was a testament to his commitment to helping others, a trait that
continued to define him even after a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis forced him to
step away from the business.

Outside of his professional life, Kevin embraced an adventurous and joyful spirit,
constantly seeking out fun and meaningful moments. Renowned for his quick wit
and unforgettable jokes, he delighted in ensuring everyone around him enjoyed life
as much as he did. Kevin found immense happiness in attending concerts,
camping, and rafting along the Trinity River with friends and family, sharing
unforgettable experiences that brought joy to all. Exploring the world with his
faithful dog, Savannah, was a constant source of delight for him.

Kevin’s friends and family remember him as a man with a heart as big as his smile,
always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His generosity knew no bounds,
and he was often the first to step up when someone needed help. Kevin’s kindness,
selflessness, and unwavering support left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate
enough to know him.

Kevin was predeceased by his father, Patrick, and is survived by his loving family:
his mother, Nancy; his sister, Christine; and his brothers, Matthew, Stephen, and
his twin, Keith. His memory will also be cherished by a wide circle of friends who
shared in his adventures, laughter, and warmth.

In honor of Kevin’s life and the challenges he faced, donations may be made to the
MS Society..

Rest in peace, Kevin. Your unwavering kindness, love, and joyous spirit will
forever remain in our hearts.

Services to be held at the Santa Maria Church in Orinda on Saturday January 25,
2025 at 10am.

Sending my most heartfelt condolences to Keith and the whole Burke family. I think of Keith and Kevin fondly each year on their birthday, as a fellow December baby theirs has always been something I remembered from childhood. I’ll remember him fondly always. Rest in peace, Kevin.

My family and I are all very saddened by the loss of Kevin, whom we have all known since his childhood. He was also our go-to and favorite contractor who gave us “special” treatment whenever we called. We always enjoyed running into him at his various after-work hangouts, like El Charro’s. He will be missed but never forgotten! (Now tearing up 😢)

When I moved to Orinda in 1st grade, my first day of school was “Big Buddy Day”. Kevin Burke was assigned to be my 3rd grade big buddy and was one of the first kids I met at Glorietta Elementary School. Kevin stayed my friend and always looked out for me all the way through high school. I’ll remember him as a great guy and also a hard nosed, competitive athlete who I enjoyed watching play basketball. RIP Buddy, Straka
