Kenneth C. Stanton passed away in Concord on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the age of 90. Born in Spokane, WA and raised in San Francisco, Ken was the eldest son of eight children. He was a wonderful and loyal family man. Ken delivered newspapers throughout San Francisco for the Chronicle and Examiner for 31 years. He enjoyed a lifetime of golf at Blue Rock Springs Golf Course in Vallejo.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Shari (Frank) Rodrigues of Hercules; daughter in law Marcella Stanton of Wilmington, DE; grandson Anthony Rodrigues of Oakland; granddaughter Nicole (Erik) Nielsen of San Mateo; sister Bertha Duncan of San Jose; and brothers Robert Stanton of Lake Tahoe and Roy Stanton of Paradise. Ken was preceded in death by his wife Frances and their beloved son Raymond.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Sunset View Mortuary Chapel, top of Fairmount Ave, in El Cerrito with interment to follow.
