John M. Donohoe was born July 1, 1943 in Oakland, CA. He died peacefully with his family by his side on October 13, 2017 in Santa Cruz, CA. John attended Sacred Heart Elementary in Oakland, CA and graduated from Oakland Technical High School in 1962.
John spent his adult life in the shoe industry, first as a sales rep in Southern California and then as a designer and the owner of Two Lip Shoe Company and president and owner of the Manhattan West Shoe Corporation.
John was the beloved father of Anne Sanfilippo (Joe) and Scott Donohoe. He was the devoted grandfather to Jenna, Jack and Zoe.
John was preceded in death by his parents John (Jack) and Georgia Donohoe, and his older brother Pete. He is survived by his daughter Anne, Son in law Joe, Son Scott, sister Kathy Woempner( Gene), three grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held in the chapel at Sunset View Cemetery in El Cerrito, CA on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 12:00 PM. Burial and reception to follow on site.
