Ganasie Charran aka “Etwaria Newaj”

“Naanie” as she is lovingly known to most is survived by her sister Jane Jagdat, children Ena Charran, Leela Virassammy, Jewan Charran and Vidya Singh, son-in-law Carlton Virassammy, grandsons Darren, Derrick and Devin Virassammy, Anil and Alvin Somwaru, and Anand Singh and her great grand-daughter due in July. She is preceded in death by her husband Cleveland Charran and her brother Ramdial. She was born in Guyana and lived most of her life there. She moved to El Sobrante, CA in 1992 and has resided there since. Naanie’s love for her family, friends and youthful spirit were truly remarkable. Services will be held at Sunset View Mortuary in El Cerrito, CA on Wednesday 6/13/2012 at 11am.
