In Memory of Erick Moreau, Art Works Downtown board president from 2013 to late 2019.
Erick was admired for his joie de vivre and known as a positive and supportive force dedicated to the arts and culture.
During his seven years as president, he grew Art Works Downtown's stature and impact.
Under his guidance, Art Works Downtown applied for and was awarded the San Rafael Cultural Arts District by the California Arts Council, developed an AWD Artist Membership program to serve hundreds of artists, and established new artist residency programs.
Erick’s vision of artistic excellence propelled the organization to win Best of Marin (Pacific Sun and Marin IJ Readers Polls) for 2014 through 2019 and Downtown Business of the Year from the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce in 2019.
Erick will be missed by the board and staff of Art Works Downtown as well as the many artists he supported.
