Eric and I grew up together, first in New York and then in California. We first met courtesy of our parents in the local Christian Science Church in Flushing, New York. Both families moved to San Mateo California, living a few blocks away. He was my best friend while growing up, and we stayed in touch for years and years. In the final years he withdrew from our long-lasting friendship for some reason. I mourn this, and also his passing
