Eric Benoit Russ was born on January 21, 1946, at
Herrick Hospital in Berkeley, CA to George Lawrence
Russ and Mary Lucille Russ. Eric was the second youngest of five
children born of this union and was preceded in death by
both parents, his sisters Millicent Eleanor Martha Ruth
Russ, LaSandra (Sandy) Vashti Russ, Beverly Sharon Bell, and brother Gerald (Lonnie)
Lionel Russ.
Eric grew up in Berkeley where he attended and
graduated from Lincoln Elementary (now Malcolm X),
Willard Jr. High and Berkeley High School. With a strong
and dedicated work ethic, Eric worked as a Social Security
Administration Clerk for the United States Federal
Government from which he retired after decades of
service.
Eric was loved, cherished, and adored by many, especially
by his family and the friendships he made at Niles Canyon
Post Acute Senior Care Facility where he enjoyed his time
playing Dominoes, Chess and Bingo. Eric was an avid
sports fan who loved NFL Football!
