Corinne True Mashy, 88 of Palos Verdes Estates, CA, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2014. She was surrounded by her family. Corinne was born June 26, 1926 in San Francisco, CA to Cedric and Elsie Brash along with her identical twin sister Cathryn.

Corinne graduated from Lowell High School in San Francisco and then pursued a double major of Russian Language and Literature and Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley. While at UC Berkeley, she met her true love and husband of 66 years, George Mashy. After marrying in 1947 she and George raised five beautiful children in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1971, she and her family relocated to Southern California and settled in the idealic community of Palos Verdes Estates.

Corinne was a devoted mother, grandmother, cherished sister, and loving wife. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Corinne was also an active member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Palos Verdes Estates.

She is survived by her husband George Mashy; twin sister Cathryn Brash of San Francisco; children Ramsay, Christine, James (Rena), Cathryn, and William (Cathy); grandchildren Danielle (Roland), Amber, Alex, Michael, Kyle, Megan, Corinne, Will, Marius, and Tao; great-grandchildren Gabrielle, Sienna, RJ, and Felicity. She is preceded in death by her brother William Brash; and beloved aunts Dagmar Rothwell and Harriett Siegrist.

Services will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Sunset View Cemetery in El Cerrito, CA. There will be a viewing prior to the funeral. A memorial service will also be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Palos Verdes Estates, CA on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 1:30 pm.
