Maria was born in Latina, Italy. In 1967, she met and married her husband, Alfred J. Tenbrink, while he was stationed in Germany serving in the Army. In 1968, they moved to El Cerrito and lived among her husband’s family. Shortly thereafter her parent’s and brother Nicole, Asunta and Bruno Maieroni moved here to help with Maria and Alfred’s new restaurant.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband and is lovingly survived by her family of 3 children, Deborah, Nicholas, Alfred, their respective husband and wives – Paul, Ruma and Terri and 7 grand children, Sierra, Dallas, Alfred Jr., Christine, Michael, Austin and Rio. Maria enjoyed cooking and making others happy through her cooking of delicious authentic Italian meals.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Jerome’s Church on Monday, October 12th at 11:00 a.m.
