Bobbie Marie Conatser, surrounded by loved ones at home, went to be with Jesus Monday Sept. 15, 2014 at the age of 74.
Her husband, George, preceded her in death in 2006, as did her grandson John Conatser Jr. in 1991. Also preceding her, her brother Thomas Lyles Jr. (Sonny).
Bobbie is survived by her Aunt Boots (Lurlene) Johnson, her sisters, Judy Richardson & Sandra Carr as well as her brother Don Lyles.
Bobbie is survived by her four children, Robert Conatser (Michelle), Anna Conatser, Sibyl Conatser Bal (Dwayne), John Conatser (Anna).
She is also survived by her grandchildren Jasmine Conatser, Chloe & Kirsten Conatser, Chris, Jeremy, Rebecca & Caitlin Bal & bonus granddaughter Loke Hernandez, Jonathon, Randy & Elizabeth Avalos as well as her first great-granddaughter whose expected arrival is in December.
Bobbie also leaves behind her marital family (many in Tennessee) who have been very dear to her heart as well. She precedes numerous nieces & nephews, and great-nieces, great-nephews & cousins.
Bobbie was passionate about her family, Jesus, cooking & sewing and studying the Bible. She loved to laugh and was often able to find joy and humor in difficult situations.
In her later years, she spent a lot of time on the computer, staying in touch with her Post Polio Syndrome support group, her extended family & friends. And, oh yes, Facebook!
She was a longtime member of the Church of God of Prophecy, most recently in South Carolina. She supported Voice of the Martyrs praying for the persecuted church and also had a heart for Israel.
Services will be held at Sunset View Mortuary in El Cerrito, CA on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
