Andrew William Stevenson

We are sad to announce that Drew Stevenson passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sharon Stevenson, daughter Christine George (Adkins), daughter Stacey Owens, son in law Demaur Owens, and two grandchildren, Giahna Owens and Devin Owens.

Drew is a life long resident of the Bay Area and spent most of his time in Richmond. He graduated from Richmond High and accomplished his degree from Cal State Hayward. He spent most of his career at the Mechanics Bank for almost 40 years as a computer programmer.

As a dedicated family man, Drew was constantly there for his family and friends. He loved basketball even playing until he needed a hip replacement, would often be watching his favorite show Dr Who, loved listening to music especially Paul Simon and he would always be in attendance for his grandkids many sporting events.

In Remembrance of Drew, we will be holding a celebration of life service at Sunset View Cemetery at the Golden Gate Mausoleum (101-A Colusa Ave, El Cerrito) on April 15th at 11 am. We will be sharing memories and short stories of him and would greatly love to hear your stories as well.
